What is a good age to start training in Karate?

The school is represented by students of all ages. If you have the desire to learn, age is not a factor. Children as young as 3 ½ are actively thriving in the Pee Wee Karate program. 5 year olds are ready to start the beginning children’s program. 13 year olds and up train in the adult program. We have solid Black Belts from 9 years old up to 65.

What if I am not athletic?

Regardless of athletic ability, all students start as a beginner white belt and are taught the necessary requirements for the next belt level. Every student will find their strong points as well as challenging areas. Athleticism will increase with each month of training for all students. Strength, balance, focus and coordination are just some of the rewards Karate promises to offer.
